The office of Dr. Mary Farren offers all of the services you traditionally expect from a general dentist. We offer cleanings, fillings, root canals, extractions, restoration of dental implants, periodontal treatment, bleaching, veneers, crowns and bridges as well as dentures. Some procedures which may seem more involved or complicated may be sent out to a specialist. This is done when Dr. Farren deems it to be in the patient's best interest.

In addition, Dr. Farren is certified in Invisalign. Invisalign is a series of clear retainers that can be often be used in place of traditional braces. People will not even know you are wearing them and you will get fabulous results. Invisalign can be used to correct spacing between teeth and overcrowded teeth. Treatment typically takes 12 to 18 months depending on the severity of the problem. Since they are removable, it is much easier to brush and floss than when one is wearing braces. However, since they are removable, they are more often recommended for adults and not children.

Dr. Farren is also certified in Lumineers - a revolution in cosmetic dentistry. Lumineers are porcelain veneers ("jackets") that can be done with no or minimal change to your existing tooth structure. This means very little or no drilling at all which also means no need for injections! Lumineers can be used to cosmetically enhance your smile in many ways: whiter teeth, straighter teeth, more prominent teeth, etc. They have been proven to have a 15 to 20 year life span. And because they are porcelain, Lumineers do not stain or darken with age as natural teeth do. Our office also offers one hour in-office bleaching with the Sapphire bleaching system. Sapphire is the latest innovation in chairside bleaching systems. A patient can get 6 to 10 shades lighter in as little as 30 minutes. However, Dr. Farren also includes a take home bleaching kit with the procedure. This is to ensure you receive the most effective bleaching treatment possible. Everyone today wants a whiter, brighter smile and bleaching is one way to achieve that. Keep in mind that bleaching only works on natural tooth structure. It will not have any effect on porcelain crowns or bridges or on the color of existing fillings.
